INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AND THE CITY: survey on Florence 2018/19

How many international students come to Florence every year? What is the impact of these flows on the city? What are the interactions of academic tourists with Florence and the local population?

The research concerned the census and mapping of as many as 83 bodies in the territory, with interviews with education operators and local administrators, and the administration of anonymous questionnaires to students, to learn about the methods and the type of interaction that takes place between these and the urban context.

The research was presented at MIPIM 2019 (Cannes, France).
